Basketball

I started basketball at the age of 10. When I played my first match with my friends , I fell in love with the game. I initially didn't really like to play sports and I was severely underweight. However, ever since I learned to play basketball, I started exercising a lot. I played it nearly every day when I am free during my primary school and secondary school years, you can basically say I breathe basketball. I gained quite a lot of weight. 8 years later, I have a good body figure and I still play the game. I also follow the National Basketball Association(NBA) where the best of the best players go against each other. I usually watch the games live during the holidays. When it is held during school hours, I watch highlights instead to save time. However, I like watching it live more as I do not know the results yet and it is more exciting. My favourite NBA team is the Cleveland Cavaliers. I liked watching them because I really liked their former team with Kyrie Irving, Lebron James, Kevin Love and Jr Smith. when they beat the Golden States Warriors in the NBA finals 2016. It was a nail-biter as they were down 3-0 in a best of 7. They were caught in a dire situation as one more loss will cause them a humiliating defeat. Against all the odds, they came back and won 4-3. They opened the first quarter in game 4 with 49 points, the most in a quarter in a Finals history. I think this gave them the momentum and they carried on to win 4 games in a row. My favourite player is Kyrie Irving. He aspires me to be a better player as I find his crossovers and handles the best in the NBA or possibly even the best I've ever seen.

I also enjoy playing computer games, such as League of Legends (LoL), Player Unknown BattlegGround (PUBG) and Counter Strike:Global Offensive (CS:GO).

League of Legends (LoL)

League of Legends is a fast-paced, competitive online game that blends the speed and intensity of an RTS with RPG elements. Two teams of powerful champions, each with a unique design and playstyle, battle head-to-head across multiple battlefields and game modes. With an ever-expanding roster of champions, frequent updates and a thriving tournament scene, League of Legends offers endless replayability for players of every skill level.

LoL

I love League of Legends as it is a team Player vs Player game. The game requires a lot of thinking too when played seriously instead of casually. The game never gets old too, it is changing every new patch. Leading players to either adapt or lose out. I also enjoy it as I play it often with my mates with a competitive mindset, leading to us learning together and win or lose together. I enjoy the process of playing the game more than the results often. In 2017, I played a competition that is held by my course with my classmates. Through the competition, we became close friends as we had a lot of fun while we were playing. I was nervous about the competition too as it was my first time playing one. In the end, we came in third place, I was quite happy as I think we gave our all and had nothing to regret.

Here is a clip of me making big plays:

Steam Games

∇ PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG)

PUBG

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) is a multiplayer online battle royale video game developed by PUBG Corporation, a subsidiary of Korean publisher Bluehole. In the game, up to one hundred players parachute onto an island and scavenge for weapons and equipment to kill others while avoiding getting killed themselves. The available safe area of the game's map decreases in size over time, directing surviving players into tighter areas to force encounters. The last player or team standing wins the round.

∇ Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO)

CSGO

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) is a multiplayer first-person shooter video game developed by Hidden Path Entertainment and Valve Corporation. The game pits two teams against each other: the Terrorists and the Counter-Terrorists. Both sides are tasked with eliminating the other while also completing separate objectives, the Terrorists, depending on the game mode, must either plant the bomb or defend the hostages, while the Counter-Terrorists must either prevent the bomb from being planted or rescue the hostages. There are six game modes, all of which have distinct characteristics specific to that mode.

I started playing PlayerUnknown’s Battleground 1 month after it was released. I have a lot of fun playing this game as I find it exciting to play a one versus all game. I have to rely on my own game sense to survive and win. In the game, I can also team up with some of my friends or people to win the game, which makes it even more fun to me. I started playing Counter-Strike: Global Offensive since the start of April. I played a total of 168 hours, which is quite a huge amount considering I have school, assignments, family time and other games. I attained the rank of Gold Nova Master in the month of August, which is one of the highest ranks in the game. My favourite Weapon is AK47, an assault rifle, I enjoy running up and spraying bullets at my opponent a lot more as I find killing people from a short range is much fun as compared to sniping people. My favourite map in the game Dust II, it is my favourite map as I can play aggressively such as pushing through smokes and going for one tap, knifing my opponents and risking it all. I play alone often as I aspire to hit a higher rank, my friends are not as highly ranked as me but I do play with them casually at times. In a nutshell, this game is my most enjoyed game as of now, I am having a lot of fun and I don't think I will be quitting anytime soon.
